Article Abstract:
This article examines the validity of three questionnaires designed to measure physical activity in older adults. Findings indicate that reported physical activity levels were correlated with measures of physical performance and that all three assessment instruments are valid for use with this population.

Evaluation of methods to assess physical activity in free-living conditioning
Article Abstract:
This article compares several methods used to measure physical activity in free-living women during a seven-day trial. Findings indicate that there were no significant differences between estimates obtained through activity questionnaires and the standard doubly-labeled water method, but it was found that two electronic activity monitors underestimated activity-related energy expenditure.
