Effect of intermittent normobaric hypoxic exposure at rest on haematological, physiological, and performance parameters in multi-sport athletes
Article Abstract:
A study is performed to determine whether 3 weeks of intermittent normobaric hypoxic exposure at rest is able to elicit changes that would benefit multi-sport athletes. It is found that the effect of intermittent hypoxic training on 3-km performance is likely to be beneficial, suggesting that non-elite athletes should expect such training to improve performance.

Acute effects of walking on inflammatory and cardiovascular risk in sedentary post-menopausal women
Article Abstract:
The important effects of walking on cardiovascular risk, plasma fibrinogen and C-reactive protein (CRP) in healthy, sedentary post-menopausal women are evaluated. Results suggest that 30 minutes of brisk walking has no clinical effect on plasma fibrinogen, CRP and cholesterol in post-menopausal women.
