Ann Davison got herself a job in a boatyard after losing the airfield in the World War II, finally inexorably, she obtained a boat of her own a tiny 23-foot sloop named 'Felicity Ann', and decided to sail it across the Atlantic singlehanded. She sailed the Felicity Ann singlehanded through the West Indies to the Bahamas and up the U.S. East Coast to New York City, where she was hailed as a conquering heroine at the year 1954 New York Boat Show.

Some techniques and moral advice while fishing are presented. It is suggested that ethical fishing sailors must use as little gear as possible as it proves to be more convenient and effective.
