Lindsay Davenport improved her ranking from 12 in 1995 to six in 1996 after making changes to both her attitude and game. With the help of her coach Robert Van't Hof and the motivation of Billie Jean King, Davenport took home the gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
