Relationship between daily physical activity and ANS activity in Patients with CHF
Article Abstract:
The influence of daily physical activity on established heart rate variability (HRV) prognostic indices in patients with varying severity of chronic heart failure (CHF) were evaluated. Results revealed that there is a correlation between free-living daily energy expenditure and heart rate variability indices in CHF patients and also, daily physical activity energy expenditure appears as an independent factor on established HRV prognostic indices.

DAQIHF: methodology and validation of a daily activity questionnaire in heart failure
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to investigate the validity, reliability and sensitivity of a new self-administered physical activity questionnaire estimating daily energy expenditure (DDE) in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF). The result reveals that questionnaire is reliable, sensitive and valid for the estimation of DEE and the VO(sub 2)(peak) appears related to global DEE and more particularly to activities above 3 METs in patients with CHF.

Relation between heart rate variability and training load in middle-distance runners
Article Abstract:
Heavy training levels for middle-distance runners shift the cardiac autonomic balance toward the sympathetic drive. Heart rate variability appears to be a more accurate predictor than resting heart rate to measure cumulative physical fatigue.
