Running for the love of it: sex

Studies show that men who exercise moderately report better sex lives than sedentary men or those who overtrain. Similar responses in women are expected, though tests have not yet been done. Several reasons for the exercise-enhanced sex lives are offered.

Acupuncture has traditionally used just for pain relief, but research indicates it may be useful in improving athletic performance also. An experiment on three groups of men showed that acupuncture treatments caused more economical heart function.

One unfortunate side effect of running is the gaunt, hollowed cheek look it can bring to the face. Many runners are using liposuction and plastic surgery to remove fat from other areas and apply it to the face to help fill it out.
