Article Abstract:
The Lawn Tennis Association of the United Kingdom is planning to introduce a licence for tennis coaches of all levels. This will not only include an examination of teaching ability but a statutory declaration of criminal history. Further enquires will be required for those who are working with young children. By licensing up to 2,000 tennis coaches by 1998 it is hoped that standards will be raised and teaching will become uniform throughout the country.

Honeymooner in Cubatao
Article Abstract:
Cubatao, Brazil, was dangerously polluted in the early 1980s, when a third of new-born children did not live to be a year old. There has been a clean-up since then and the chairman of the manufacturing association of the locality, Ademar Salgosa, stresses the environmental friendliness of the Carbocloro plant that he runs. Critics argue that the chlorine that the company produces is still hazardous, as is PVC, for which the plant produces raw materials.
