Article Abstract:
Babine River steelhead and steelhead in other Skeena River tributaries in the Skeena watershed on British Columbia's northwest coast is reported to be under threat due to logging and other commercial fishing activities. The endeavors in the past and those underway by the, fishery department, the Wild Salmon policy, are discussed.

Humans are concentrated along the coasts due to the availability of seafood, job, transportation, and recreational opportunities. The presence of human along the coasts has a significant impact on the quality of coastal water and marine habitats, reducing their ability to support and nourish marine life.
