Research indicates that heart-attack survivers who discuss their negative emotions tend to live longer than those who do not. Researchers believe that withholding emotions may increase the risk of the artery spasms that induce heart attacks.

Research links aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) with a decreased risk of breast cancer. Women who took 3 aspirin or NSAIDs per week showed a 33% less chance of developing breast cancer than women who did not.
