North Park Playground in San Diego, CA, enjoys the distinction of being the breeding ground of two of the best athletes in US history, baseball star Ted Williams and tennis champion Maureen Connolly. Aside from giving children the chance to play, North Park also offered the necessary competition and coaching talent needed to hone sports skills.
