The 1995 Atlantic hurricane season with its 11 hurricanes and eight tropical storms was the most active since 1933. Hurricane forecaster Dr. William Gray of Colorado State Univ, cites such causes as a warming of the cold current La Nina and a weakening of El Nino, a usually warm current.
