A boat owner recounts the sacrifices she and her husband made when they gutted a used sailboat and completely renovated it. The boat named 'Illusion,' is a 36-ft steel cutter with an 11-ft beam and a 5-ft, 8-in draft. The boat was sufferng from cracked paint, rusting metal and spaghetti wires when the couple bought it.

Oysters, Solomon-Islands style
Article Abstract:
A sailboat enthusiast visiting the Solomon Islands discovers the unique oysters in the area. Guided by islanders, she is surprised to find very large oysters which are the largest edible oysters. Their shells are so thick that a sledgehammer and a machete are used to open them.

Article Abstract:
A boat owner recounts his experience of stowing away on a vacant vessel to allow his daughter and friends to spend the night in his boat. In the morning, he thought he was in trouble when a dinghy appeared to be headed his way. He made an unnecessary swim in the cold water.
