There are several excellent cookbooks geared towards backpackers and campers. They include 'Cooking the One Burner Way,' 'The NOLS Cookery,' 'The Well-Fed Backpacker' and 'The Hungry Hiker's Book of Good Cooking.' Recipes presented include cheese bombs and instant oatmeal.
