Light fantastic
Article Abstract:
RF Hotels has created a luxury hotel in Cardiff Bay, Wales, which has stunning architectural appeal and which promises to play an important part in the local economy. St. David's Hotel and Spa is a beacon of light in Cardiff Bay. The lobby is a seven-storey white void, and each of the 136 rooms has a balcony overlooking the bay. RF Hotels received development finance to build within the Cardiff Bay regeneration scheme, but the firm used local materials in the building, and the hotel employs mainly local staff and serves local produce.

Time for tea
Article Abstract:
The recent emergence of a new breed of tea bars in the UK has been spurred by the increasing popularity of the coffee bar. While none of the early leaders in the coffee market were retailers, the new tea bars are all run by large tea retailers. Brooke Bond has opened its Ch'a unit in Brighton, Tetley has created Gaffers in Manchester, Whittard's has opened a tea bar in London's Chelsea and Typhoo plans a tea bar in the Millenium Dome.
