The American Gladiators are to perform a 90-minute dinner-show in the Orlando-Kissimmee area. The show includes powerball, joust, and assault, and tickets cost $39.95 for adults and $21.50 for children. The new show is one of a number of new attractions in the Florida area. Others include the Colossal Studios Pirate's Adventure; Sea World Orlando's Key West at Sea; Busch Gardens' Egypt attraction; and Adventure Island's Key West Rapids.

Disney beckons more Europeans

Walt Disney Attractions has named Tom Allen, as sales and marketing vice-president for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Allen was previously sales director for the same zone, and he is now responsible for the integration of sales and marketing in Europe. Disney business is expected to be boosted by the recent launch of Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World and the planned Disney Cruise Line, set to sail on July 30 1998.

Europeans return as parks spend
Article Abstract:
Theme parks in the US are investing in new attractions in order to boost falling attendances. New areas being addressed by the parks include senior citizens, weddings, and packages such as Disney and Planet Hollywood. The European market is reported to be increasing. Surveys have revealed that the average length of stay in parks has declined over the last ten years to 6.4 hours, from 8.3 hours.
