S&N gets offers for Center Parcs
Article Abstract:
A number of parties are interested in acquiring Center Parcs, holiday villages, from Scottish and Newcastle, brewery. The brewery will spend the assets on cutting borrowing and expanding its retail and beer activities, which will improve the value of the company to shareholders. It has been speculated that the managing director of the UK division of Center Parcs, Peter Moore, would like to buy it, but the whole entity, including the three in the UK and ten in continental Europe and eight Pontins holiday camps, are on the market as one unit.
