Waiting game
Article Abstract:
Attendees at the Asian Amusement Expo 1998 recognized the industry was suffering from the economic decline in the region, with many expansion projects cancelled. Some exhibitors had found conditions in Asia were not as bad as they had anticipated and contracts were still being confirmed. China was seen as an area for theme park expansion but many of the parks already opened in China had not been successful due to insufficient planning. Some 2,417 visitors attended the Expo which was held in Singapore.
