Global views of leukaemia
Article Abstract:
The newly developed high-density DNA microarrays are used for the characterization of cancer genome, including a type of leukaemia, which helps to identify the common abnormalities in genomic copy number that underline the disease. The author suggests that new strategies and plans for fixing the defects in cellular differentiation caused by recurrent loss-of-function mutations need to be devised to cure cancer.
