Neutrons radiating decay
Article Abstract:
The radiative decay of the free neutrons is found to be consequence of the theory of quantum electrodynamics (QED), which has described all the processes mediated by the electromagnetic force. Nico and colleagues from U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Maryland, have performed experiments to observe the radiative decay of the neutron.

Observation of the radiative decay mode of the free neutron
Article Abstract:
The theory of quantum electrodynamics (QED) and heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory are used to calculate the photon energy spectrum and branching ratio for neutron radiative decay. Findings present opportunities for more detailed investigations of the weak interaction process involved in neutron beta decay.
