Border crossing
Article Abstract:
The 'translocon' complex, which determines whether a protein segment will be inserted into or pushed through the cell membrane that apparently makes the decision by performing a thermodynamic measurement, is discussed. The rules for membrane-protein insertion and folding are discussed.

Protein choreography
Article Abstract:
The process where the proteins engage in an intricate ballet to drive a transport process is called endocytosis. It is the process by which cells gulp up small patches of the outer plasma membrane and suck them inside to form small membrane enclosed vesicles.

Observation of ferrotoroidic domains
Article Abstract:
The features and properties of the ferrotoroidic domains are studied. These domains are found to be widely used in various electronic, magnetic and optical switches.
