Georges Kohler (1946-95)
Article Abstract:
Georges Kohler received the 1984 noble prize in medicine for co-inventing the technique for producing monoclonal antibodies. The generation of hybridomas is considered among the most powerful inventions of the last two decades. Kohler received his doctorate from the University of Freiburg. Kohler was a defender of the freedom of science in society and used his influence to promote basic research devoid of any commercial interests. He was born in 1946 and died on Mar 1, 1995.

Proteins and antibodies: advanced handling and no messing
Article Abstract:
The machines and systems used for the determination of protein properties and characterization functions are presented. Some of these systems provide filtration of protein precipitation plates, and production of monoclonal antibodies.
