Giants and dwarfs meet in the middle
Article Abstract:
Two astronomers have gathered compelling stereoscopic evidence for the existence of two new low-mass companions to the stars 47 Ursae Majoris and 70 Virginis. 47 UMa B, the companion of 47 Ursae Majoris, has a mass of at least 2.3 MJ, while 70 Vir B, the companion of 70 Virginis, has a mass of at least 6.5 MJ. 47 UMa B orbits with a period of 3.02 yr. at a distance of 2.1 AU, while 70 Vir B orbits in 117 days 0.43 AU from its primary on an eccentric orbit.

Twin planetary systems in embryo
Article Abstract:
The Very Large Array (VLA) of 27 telescopes provides sharper images at millimetre wavelengths than any other instrument. Rodriguez and colleagues have used to to create a detailed millimetre-wave image of the L1551 IRS5 system, which confirms the existence of possible planet-forming disks around the protostars. A new map proves that L1551 IRS5 is a binary system with the two protostars separated, not a single object as was once thought.

Giant giants or dwarf dwarfs?
Article Abstract:
Issues are presented concerning the nature of an object which has been observed by astronomers to be orbiting a star similar to the Sun. The object is estimated to be 17 times larger than the planet Jupiter.
