Jaws and teeth of the earliest bony fishes
Article Abstract:
Evidence is provided for osteichthyan characters in jaw bones of the late Silurian fishes Andreolepis hedei and Lophosteus superbus. The analysis has shown that Andreolepis and Lophosteus are not only the oldest but also the most phylogenetically basal securely identified osteichthyans known so far.

The axial skeleton of the Devonian tetrapod Ichthyostega
Article Abstract:
A new reconstruction of Ichthyostega based on extensive examination of original material and augmented by different collected specimens is presented. This reconstruction shows that Ichthyostega is the earliest vertebrate to show obvious adaptations for the non-swimming locomotion.

Devonian tetrapod from western Europe
Article Abstract:
The findings in relation to a tetrapod jaw discovered about 365 million years old from western continental Europe is described. The environment of this fossil helps to determine the conditions that prevailed before the virtual disappearance of tetrapods.
