Know thy enemy: Experience affects elk translocation success in risky landscape
Article Abstract:
Translocated elks familiar with wolves and hunters before their release had better chance of survival after release during the critical first year than those not having any prior experience of mortality hazards. The difference in prerelease and postrelease habitat did not affect their survival rates postrelease.

Scale-dependent summer resource selection by reintroduced ELK in Wisconsin, USA
Article Abstract:
Resource selection functioning was used to study summer habitat use in a reintroduced and expanding elk population in the Chequamegon National Forest, Wisconsin, and USA.
