Lesser scaup winter foraging and nutrient reserve acquisition in east-central Florida
Article Abstract:
The winter body condition of scaup in east-central Florida was measured and the foraging behavior and body condition was examined to see if it changed prior to spring migration as the poor body condition of the female scaup as they arrive at the breeding grounds leads to their declining population. Evidence did not suggest that scaup substantially increase nutrient reserves or body mass prior to departing a wintering site.

Modeling the relationship between fecal pellet indices and deer density
Article Abstract:
The study of relationship between fecal pellet indices such as total pellets, pellet groups and pellet frequency and deer density indicate that the pellet indices are useful to predict deer abundance.
