Article Abstract:

The reliability of some of the commonly used citation measures, which are used for measuring scientific quality, is examined. The existing databases such as ISI can help by compiling field-specific homogeneous data sets similar to SPIRES database in high-energy physics, which would allow institutions and scientists alike to evaluate the quality of any citation record using all available information.

Article Abstract:

The geochemical evaluation indicates that the outer layer of earth is formed mainly from the matter which is left due to the impact of planetesimals and not by procuring dust particles from solar nebula. The initial neon isotope combination for the higher mantle firmly indicates the neon portion indicated in meteorites which passed through important ion inserted by the solar energetic particles.
