Saving Sasha
Article Abstract:
Sasha, a black bear that had been held captive in a 10 by 20 ft pen in Wisconsin for 14 years had been purchased by the Alliance for Animals from her owner. She has been transported to a 3,500 sq. ft. sanctuary in California that is managed by the Performing Animal Welfare Society.

Animals do not escape abuse even when they are used for entertainment. Circus animals suffer from harsh conditions during training, transportation and captivity. Meanwhile, animals used for television and film are also maltreated during filming.
