Sexual coercion in animal societies
Article Abstract:
A study has been conducted to examine forced copulation or coercion and its relation to breeding behavior in animals. An analysis of sexual behavior in different animal populations using a prospective model revealed that females that have been subjected to sexual coercion are more receptive to male advances in the future to reduce the costs of sexual conflict such as damaging punishment. It is suggested that such form of sexual behavior has an important effect on the evolution of animal species.

Sexual communication by pheromones in a firefly, Phosphaenus hemipterus (coleoptera: lampyridae)
Article Abstract:
An investigation on whether sexual communication in the diurnal Phosphaenus hemipterus is based upon pheromones rather than on light emission is presented. The result strongly suggest that, despite the functional light organs, light signals are not essential for mate location in Phosphaenus hemipterus, thus agreeing that sexual communication in phosphaenus hemipterus is based entirely on pheromones.

Sexual segregation in childhood: A review of evidence for two hypotheses
Article Abstract:
The evidence associated with two hypotheses, both ultimately derived from sexual selection theory, put forth to explain social sexual segregation in human juveniles is reviewed. The first hypothesis suggest that difference in energetic is a way in which males differentiate themselves form females and develop muscle and brain systems implicated in reproductive roles.
