Slimebusters
Article Abstract:
In 1999 and 2000 microbiology researchers were able to understand more fully what causes free-floating bacteria to form mucilaginous communities called biofilms. Research on how to block the formation of these films, or dismantle them, could provide medical science with the means to treat life-threatening infections.
