The evidence mounts up
Article Abstract:
A conference on climatic change suggested that global warming is developing from manmade greenhouse gases and sulfate aerosols. The temperature and precipitation over the Earth are determined directly by borehole temperatures and indirectly by ice cores, tree rings and coral growth layers. The internal changes in the atmosphere-ocean(-glacier) system affect the global warming. Although the warming pattern resembles changes caused by El Nino, most models point to anthropogenic effects.

Aerosols heat up
Article Abstract:
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has reported on the effect on climate of aerosols. The research has contradicted the general notion of aerosol particles as cooling agents in the global climate system, but has also emphasized the importance of resolving how aerosol radiative forcing varies with altitude.
