Wolves, outreach, and rural Idaho
Article Abstract:
The outreach programs run by the US Fish and Wildlife Service have successfully reintroduced wild wolves in the forests of central Idaho. The outreach approach provides information about wild wolves, species depredation and recovery. Most of the people support the reintroduction of wolves in this area. The rural people advocate wildlife conservation, have substantial useful information, and cooperate fully in the wolf recovery programs. The outreach is more effective when local perspective and history are taken into consideration for implementing conservation programs.

Life on the windiest peak

Taking an ecosystem approach
Article Abstract:
The Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) has identified over 50 watersheds for a practical ecosystem approach to conserve fish, wildlife and their habitats. The FWS attempts to save the habitat from ecological disturbances, keeps a track of the health of natural systems and provides help to private landowners by training their employees and helping future generations understand the importance of biological diversity.
