Relationship of single measures of cardiorespiratory fitness and obesity in young schoolchildrenr
Article Abstract:
The differences of cardiorespiratory fitness(CRF) among weight groups and the associations of CRF with obesity (body mass index) in a sample of young children is examined. The data obtained clearly showed that potential gender differences of body composition in CRF would be of great clinical significance and therefore even at young ages at least for girls the beneficial impact of low BMI values on CRF is shown with important clinical and public health implications.

Height and weight of primary schoolchildren in Shiraz City, Southern Iran, 2002
Article Abstract:
The updated growth reference data for height and weight of health schoolchildren in Shiraz, Iran, is presented by using a multistage sampling scheme. The analysis has suggested that it is more realistic to use local growth standards for clinical work in Iran, which should be updated periodically.
