Growth medium composition-determined regulatory mechanisms are superimposed on CatR-mediated transcription from the pheBA and catBCA promoters in Pseudomonas putida
Article Abstract:
Results demonstrate that transcription from the pheBA and catBCA promoters, encoding catechol 1,2-doxygenase and phenol monooxygenase and catechol degradation, respectively, is dependent on the growth medium. Data also show that amino acids in the medium silences both the promoters exponentially.

Critical nucleotides in the interaction of CatR with the pheBA promoter: conservtion of the CatR-mediated regulation mechanisms between the pheBA and catBCA operons
Article Abstract:
Results show the activation binding site of CatR contains two G nucleotides important for promoter activity but not for CatR binding as indicated by the site-directed mutagenesis. Data also demonstrate a catR-mediated regulation mechanism conservation between the pheBA and the catBCA promoters.

The SOS promoter dinH is essential for ftsK transcription during cell division
Article Abstract:
Research shows that the genes involved in the septum formation during cell division are clustered in a single site excepting ftsK gene in Escherichia coli. Data reveal that transcription of ftsK is mediated by two promoters but only one SOS-related promoter, dinH is essential for transcription.
