Why does the species problem still persist?
Article Abstract:
Two recent suggested answers to species problem persistence that place the blame on the species problem's empirical aspects or on its philosophical aspects are discussed. An attempt is made to resolve the species problem by understanding the notion of species as a family resemblance concept to illustrate issues related to species pluralism and the question of species as natural kinds.

Different species problems and their resolution
Article Abstract:
A study aim is to resolve both of the long-standing controversies concerning the fundamental nature of species. The proposal reconciles alternative incompatible species concepts and definitions without denying the importance of properties that underlie their differences resulting in general and unified concept of species.

Werner syndrome protein, the MRE11 complex and ATR: menage-a-trois in guarding genome stability during DNA replication?
Article Abstract:
The correct execution of the DNA replication process is crucially important for the maintenance of genome integrity of the cell. The way WRN, the MRE11 complex and the ATR kinase work together in response to replication blockage to avoid DNA replication fork collapse and genome instability is discussed.
