Clinton vows aid as floods strike midwestern states
Article Abstract:
Pres Clinton announced Jul 14, 1993, that he would allocate $2.5 billion in aid to help reimburse the damage caused by the massive floods in eight Midwestern states. The total damage could run higher than $10 billion. The levee system along the Mississippi River will be reevaluated.
