Telstra position in the face of the British Telecom-AT&T merger is unclear. While some telecommunications consultants believe that Telstra will continue to be a major local player, others feel that the new merger will enter the regional market also. There is also a suggestions that Telstra should explore the overseas market and establish new territory.
