Indirect networks: an intangible resource for biotechnology innovation
Article Abstract:
Network analysis, hierarchical regressions, and centrality measures were used to examine the impact of indirect networks on a firm's innovation capability. Data drawn from biotechnology companies in Quebec show that a company is more likely to use direct partner knowledge for innovation if it occupies a central position within a network consisting of indirect ties.

Knowledge Centres: A Technology and Engineering Hybrid

The purposes and characteristics of knowledge centers are described. Organization techniques, based on an actual case study, are examined. Three charts illustrate organizational arrangements. There is a model form for giving an abridged description of a knowledge center and guidelines for reporting on its condition.
