The coaching challenge
Article Abstract:
While many managers agree about the need for staff coaching, few organisations undertake active coaching and some oppose it. Unguided learning is common in organisations but it can often be incomplete or even erroneous. The main reasons why structured coaching fails to take place in corporations include lack of coaching skills and organisational systems that discourage coaching.
