Transportation officials predict that twice as many travelers will fly into Sydney within about ten years, and the current airport will be unable to cope with the increasing air travel. A proposed second airport at Badgerys Creek has cleared many environmental hurdles. It should be built after construction of buildings for the 2000 Olympics.

Connections between the US economy and the strong US protectionist strategy will have a very significant impact on world economic prospects in the first decade of the 21st century. The best opportunity for boosting the world economy is for the US to use western European instruments of income distribution.
