Article Abstract:
The 2004 report on the national workers' compensation by the Productivity Commission is discussed. Of the various findings, the report stresses on facilitating access by eligible employers to existing scheme. But the response by the federal government has been luke warm in this regard, as it is of the opinion that the report was drafted not taking in to consideration the elections that took place in that year. But it is of equal importance too that the report findings should not be sidelined.
