A daughter's toughest decision

Geriatrician Judith Ahronheim knew immediately her mother was suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Although the progress of the disease was slow, it became complicated when her mother also developed a heart disease. The mother opted not to be operated on and she died peacefully as she wanted.

The mother of a woman who donated eggs to a clinic for use by an infertile couple reflects on her daughter's decision. The procedures the woman underwent to produce more eggs and her reasons to help others are described. The mother reluctantly accepted her daughter's decision.
