A tough flight to quality
Article Abstract:
There can be considerable challenges for small businesses in the UK seeking to obtain the kitemark, which is licensed out by the British Standards Institute to companies qualifying for the ISO 9000 series of management, product and procedures certificates. Indeed, some observers question whether the cost and effort involved for small companies in obtaining a kitemark are really justified. It is possible that seeking to meet the standards required for ISO 9000 actually reduces flexibility and innovation.

Article Abstract:
Well-paid UK executives do not earn as much as those in the US, according to the director of remuneration at Hay Management Consultants, Damien Knight, whose company has conducted a survey of executive pay.
