Airbus discloses cost overruns on big A380 jet

News of aircraft maker Airbus S.A.S.'s $1.93 billion cost overrun on production of its A380 super jumbo jetliner, comes amidst indications that a longstanding battle among top executives is nearing resolution at EADS N.V., the aircraft manufacturer's parent company. An announcement is expected soon that Airbus Chief Executive Officer Noel Foregeard will succeed Philippe Camus as co-chief executive officer at the Franco-German company.

Airbus woes weaken Forgeard's grip at EADS

Chief Executive Noel Forgeard, EADS N.V. of the Netherlands is under public scrutiny as the aircraft manufacturer is in crisis and Mr. Forgeard is alleged to have made some questionable share sales.
