An enlightened shop window for dynamic design
Article Abstract:
The Tugman architectural partnership has designed a number of innovative interiors for UK clothing chain Jigsaw. The partnership created an industrial feel for Jigsaw's menswear store in Manchester. They used granite setts and elm boards as flooring, stainless steel in fittings, and limestone for display table tops. The intention was to create something different from the normal shopping environment. The partnership addressed problems of scale when designing the interior for Jigsaw's childrenswear shop in Richmond by using drawers, shelves and low hanging rails.

Silver screens for steel town
Article Abstract:
Showroom Cinemas 3 and 4 complete the development of a media and exhibition centre in Sheffield, England. The interior design of all four cinemas reflects, to a limited extent, the 1930s period of the building, which was formerly a car showroom. Each cinema has a different colour scheme and image. Floors are mainly oak and other finishes are a combination of natural and man-made materials.
