Analyst sees hope for Swire
Article Abstract:
Swire Pacific Ltd. of Hong Kong's stocks continue to receive a buy recommendation from some market analysts, inspite of the company's poor performance during the initial half of 1998. Some market analysts cited that the poor first-half performance of Swire is largely reflective of a cyclical market downturn that is expected to occur in the real-estate sales sector. Some market analysts also cautioned against perceptions that Swire Pacific's poor performance is connected to the financial problems of the Asian region.
