Birmingham receives its just desserts
Article Abstract:
There is now a strong professional infrastructure to support small to medium-sized venture capital transactions in the East Midlands region of the UK. Companies in the region's traditional manufacturing industries continue to seek finance, but almost all other sectors also offer potential deals. This was reflected in the buyout of yogurt and chilled foods manufacturer Yieldingtree. This deal took around four months to complete, with Murray Johnstone investing 750,000 pounds sterling from Murray VCT and Murray VCT 2.
