Bossing the Bartlett

Article Abstract:

Architect Christine Hawley is to become Dean of the Bartlett School of Architecture. Hawley studied under Ron Herron during the six years to 1975 and has worked extensively with Peter Cook on projects including the Lutsowplatz housing development in Berlin, Germany. Christine Hawley Architects completed its first project in the late 1990s. Hawley's career in architectural education has included a revitalisation of the failing North East London Polytechnic architecture department. Her priorities for the Bartlett include the forging of links with other university departments.
