Article Abstract:
The Bv 206 S tracked armored personnel carrier from Hagglunds Vehicle AB is made up of two armored units connected by an articulating unit. The front unit can carry four people and also contains the power pack while the rear unit can accomodate eight people. It can carry up to 1,670 kg of cargo and can be armed with a ring-mounted 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun on the roof. Power is produced by a Steyr M16 six-cylinder diesel engine coupled to a Mercedes-Benz W4A 040 automatic transmission.

The Mobile Tactical Vehicle Light (MTVL) from United Defense LP is a stretched version of the M113 but with a bigger internal load capacity and greater mobility. The MTVL is armed with a 12.7mm M2 machine gun on a pintle mount but can also be equipped with other weapon systems, including a one- or two-person turret with a 25mm cannon or 7.62mm co-axial machine gun. Options include NBC protection; air-conditioning system; passive night-vision equipment; and firing ports.

Stormer
Article Abstract:
The Stormer armored personnel carrier from Alvis Vehicles was selected by the British Army in 1986 as the platform to carry the SMS Starstreak High- Velocity Missile. The Stormer can be outfitted with a variety of weapons systems, including a two-person turret armed with a 25mm cannon. The latest Stormer model features an NBC protection system; an amphibious kit; passive night-vision equipment; and an air-conditioning system.
