Cleaning up?
Article Abstract:
British offshore dependencies have been asked to tackle the problem of money laundering. There are 13 of these dependencies which are to be called 'UK Overseas Territories, and full British Citizenship is to be granted to their populations. The Caribbean Financial Action Task Force is one organization seeking to tackle the problem, as international pressure increases. Some centers argue that funds could be driven elsewhere if they seek to control laundering, while others argue that the US has failed to win its drugs war, and offshore centers are being blamed.
