Article Abstract:
Asian industrial real estate developers have focused on constructing one-stop mega malls as a result of the increasing demand for recreational complexes. However, analysts caution mall developers about the risks associated with the emergence of fashion black markets, commonly termed as Silk Alley. In Japan and South Korea, the growth of Western-oriented malls has been hindered by the development of traditional local stores, such as Mitsukoshi and Lotte.
